Hello

ab1a.jpg“She’s the girl off of Watchdog”.

It does amaze me that the man in the street thinks that I am still presenting the BBC’s weekly consumer show.  I think it is about seven years since Anne Robinson last shut me up………..and to sum up my life since…..

Presented Healthcheck for BBC - best job I ever had.  With devilishly handsome Dr Mark Porter (who introduced me to my man - very good move!).  Loved investigating health issues and exploring this fascinating subject…….  Cannot believe this is not on air now - where is the decent accesible health programme on the BBC? (don’t say City Hospital)

Presented Face Value - Lifting the lid on the beauty business and the pseudo-science that lies within.  Again great programme and definitely room in the schedules for something like it.

Heaven and Earth - presented live from Manchester (bit of a wrench away from babes 24 hours each weekend).  Loved doing celeb interviews and finding out the moral codes by which people live their lives…..  They may have shed loads of cash and celeb status - but are they decent people?

Holiday Programmes - presented and reported many holiday progs for BBC and Travel Channel.  Best was Holiday Hit Squad because it went beyond the “view from the balcony” and reporter raising wine glass to camera from lonely table for one in hotel restaurant.

Hot Property - great idea but quite exhausting to film! Take one young couple desperate to get on property ladder show them 3 local properties and get them to pick their favourite.   If they could guess the price of it by the time we all got their in the minibus - I gave them the keys and they had won themselves a house.  Most amazing feeling - telling someone they had a mortgage free property - live changing for them and uplifting for me!

Contented House with Twins.  Having twins is quite a tricky old thing and any advice for a new parent goes down a storm.  That was the idea when I co-authored this book with baby guru Gina Ford
